WNNJ’s response to COVID-19 and its impact on our services

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we have also been making changes in how we work.  We continue to focus on serving clients while also doing what we can to protect the health and well-being of all.

We have moved most of our auditors to a remote working environment.  This means that our physical office locations will be minimally staffed, and our professionals will be collaborating with you and each other by phone, email, and through our online portal.

We will be in contact with staff these upcoming weeks to discuss scheduled engagements and how we staff and perform our work.  We are encouraging less face to face and trying to maintain sufficient distance among the staff and others to do our part in controlling the spread of this virus.  Since things are changing daily and weekly, we are preparing to do the majority of work remotely until circumstances change.  As noted, we will begin those discussions with you in the upcoming weeks.

We are confident that we are well-prepared to serve you virtually for as long as needed. Additional information follows below.

Face-to-Face Client Meetings

We want to do our part to keep clients and employees healthy.  Therefore, we are discouraging all in‑person client meetings and on-site visits and travel for the immediate future.  We will be working with you to find acceptable alternatives until the concern of the virus has subsided.  Each situation will be assessed and a determination will be made collaboratively with you as we lead up to the engagement.

We are focused on being better communicators and planners of our work in this environment and will work hard to make this as painless as possible for you and your staff.

Document Sharing

We upgraded to a much larger encrypted portal last fall which will allows you to share documents quickly and securely with us.  Instruction on access and use will be provided by the staff as they begin exchanging documents with your personnel.

Deadlines

As of right now, everyone is working toward normal deadlines.  We will be in touch with progress and work hard to stay on track.  This week the tax deadlines were extended and we understand discussions are underway to extend the Medicare cost report deadlines.  Our goal is to stay on track and to keep work moving for you.
